Car & Locomotive Shop was started in 1981 to manufacture quality and innovative drives for 0 scale Japanese and Korean brass models. In 1982 the company obtained a dealership with a very promising and prolific importer and even collaborated with them for two projects, both Western Maryland prototypes.
In 1996 the business changed by adding direct importing of Korean brass models.
Car & Locomotive Shop is owned and operated by Henry Bultmann whose engineering and mechanical credentials are a Class A Tool & Die Maker with mechanical design and injection mold making experience.
All the models the Car & Locomotive Shop has imported up until the end of 2001 have been manufactured by one company, Boo-Rim Precision Co. Inc. of Seoul Korea. After five difficult years that company was deemed unwilling and unable to provide models of consistant quality and value. A new company, LIK ENTERPRISES Inc. of Korea has been engaged to deliver models of better engineering, quality and value. The Car & Locomotive Shop will endeavor to produce new and interesting projects done to the highest standards possible. Thankyou for your interest.
