As of 10/27/08 all the O Scale projects are sold out except for three Jersey Central Phase 2 Train Masters which will be painted when the backlog for painting unpainted models which have been sold and have not been delivered. There is a total of five Train Masters and three W.M. J-1's that are in the process or waiting for their turn in the paint shop. The custom painter here in the States has delivered sometime ago his first Jersey Central T.M. and it is superb. It must be understood that just because the C&LS commissions him to paint models, that does not mean the backlog for painting of ordered models will go down quickly as it cannot be expected of the painter to postpone his other commitments in order to paint the C&LS models ahead of his other customers. In the future only factory painted models will be imported as the strain of getting any quantity of models finished to satisfy all those who waited too long to order or did not make a reservation is too great. The painted CNJ T.M. is the first model he has finished and three orders were taken from those who have seen it first hand at the O Scale National.
As of 11/27/08 the three CNJ T.M.'s that have been sold and paid for have been finished by the custom painter and as you can see in the top four pictures he did a superb job. They will be delivered this week to their owners. It is nice to have someone paint the models who appreciates the quality and engineering that goes into the Car & Locomotive Shop models and does his best to keep the standards that the C&LS has set.
